Alphabet knowledge is more than just singing the song, but recognizing the letters and sounds then finally reading words.
Art is a major part of our curriculum and will be done every day. Art teaches fine motor skills, coordination, creativity, color concepts, science, math, spatial reasoning, and sequencing. Plus it's fun!!
Being a friend is the most important skill a preschooler can learn, your child will be taught what a friend is, how to be a friend and will develop solid friendships.
Book knowledge is knowing how books work, the parts of a book and that books tell us a story or facts.
Calendar is done daily so we learn the days of the week, the months, how to say the date. We also work on patterns and number recognition by doing calendar time. We do graphs and weather during calendar time and even vote on the question of the day.
Compassion means telling our friend sorry if they get hurt even if we had nothing to do with their owie, because we are sorry they are hurting.
Cutting, copying lines, counting out objects and so much more fill our day.
Decision making is important so we know if our actions are the right choice, or making a decision about what will happen next in our experiment or book or just in how we build our block towers.
Dancing and jiggling are fun and also teach us how to move our bodies safely.
"Doing it by myself now" is the motto of a preschooler! By three they can go potty, get dressed, start to write their name and so much more!
